Angling participation overview
8,600 females take part in angling at least once every four weeks.
In comparison, 200,000 men take part in angling every month, making the ratio of female anglers 1 for every 23 men. It is the second most male dominated sport after rugby union.
Participation in angling is on the decline amongst both men and women.
