Volleyball participation overview

Volleyball is the 26th most popular physical activity. 

Around 23,700 women play volleyball at least once every four weeks, with 12,900 women playing at least once a week.

Nearly six in ten female volleyball players are students, compared to about one in eleven in the female population in general.

Women make up 30% of all volleyball members, which makes it one of the most equally balanced gender profiles of all sport.
