Sue Tibballs, Chief Executive of WSFF responds to careless remarks made by Paul Jewell at last night's fixture against Birmingham.
"We were of course disappointed to hear Paul Jewell’s careless remarks last night. 'Off the cuff' comments such as these reinforce the prejudices of a small minority within football at a time when the sport as a whole is trying to attract more women and girls into all aspects of the game, whether that’s as players, officials, coaches or journalists. Enough is enough - women are in football and they're here to stay – the minority of men who don’t like it just need to get over it."
