Goals!

I'm currently ambling on thinking that I really must get off my bum and start exercising, telling myself "right enough is enough this is going to change I'm going to start on Monday". Monday comes and goes and I'm still sitting on my bum complaining that my jeans are getting too tight.

Not so long back I was very motivated, I trained for and completed in the London Moonwalk which is a marathon distance walking event. No mean feat, I trained very hard and got very fit in the process. But that was back in May and since then my "get up and go" got up and left. A couple of weeks rest turned into more weeks which turned into more months and more mince pies and lots and lots more biscuits and Quality Streets than is good for me. I find myself slowly but surely undoing all the hard work I did at the beginning of the year.

So the first goal I have to set is actually setting myself a goal. One is the Moonwalk, I have signed up for that again. 

Apparently walking around the middle of London in the middle of the night with thousands of women in bras is pretty addictive and I can't wait to do it again. 

Last year I did it in a little over 8 hours, this year I want to complete it in less than 6. How to get fit enough to do this is another matter. I bore easily and need change to keep me interested pounding the pavements to get the miles under my belt is important but I also want to try lots of new things, as many as possible. Maybe along the way I'll find something that will spark my interest and keep me going. I'll tell you about everything I try and maybe we'll find something you can love too.
